Hope all had an enjoyable Easter break. I went with the Jonker’s away to Anna Bay. A town, north of Newcastle on the coast. It was lovely to get away and have a relaxing break. However, the town (and region) had little in the way of appeal. Yes it had nice almond shaped barrels, wineries, some coffee shops and a few tourists…yet it had not heart. There was no ‘must-visit’ coffee shop or bakery…
Instead there was an unfriendly fish and chip cashier who politely told us that in now circumstance could food be eaten in the court yard that had not been purchased there. So our pregnant sister-in-law, put down her water bottle and consumed her calamari and chips.
One mile beach had some great waves and we meet some nice people - swell cast
But what really stood out is that heart needs to be cultivated, it is not assumed.
