Where do ideas come from…

The challenge with all ideas is where do they come from, especially when I cannot generate them. I would love to be able to store up the ideas that i generate on good idea generation days and use them when i am struggling. Seth Godin wrote a helpful piece on how we can use the mass of consumer generated media to help us. A search on Flicr forIdeas reveals some interesting and some just strange alternatives.

Do you have good ways to generate ideas?

If we all tagged stuff, then when we wanted to define things, maybe using the tags could help. Also if we tagged stuff creatively, then maybe we could share our collective thoughts more and be inspired when we are lacking individual ability.
